Artemesia absinthum

Wormwood (stem and leaf) is naturally bitter and primarily used to stimulate digestion, absorption, and elimination. It increases bile secretion, pancreatic and small intestine enzyme production, hydrochloric acid secretion, and it has anti-parasitic properties. It has been used to expel worms and to promote liver function. Wormwood is used for gut dysbiosis and helps to support healthy intestinal flora. It may also help to reduce symtoms of inflammatory bowel diseases and related depression. This herb is native to Eurasia and is now naturalized in many countries including Canada and the United States.
