Echinacea Angustafolia, Purpurea and Pallida

Echincaea (root, flowers and stem) has powerful anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties and is commonly referred to as purple coneflower. This herb is rich in alkylamides and polysaccharides which have both anti-inflammatory properties as well as immune stimulating properties. This herb is primarily indicated for acute illnesses such as influenza, colds, bronchitis, sinusitis, tonsillitis, laryngitis, prostatitis, allergic rhinitis, ear infections and gingivitis. However in some cases, certain species and individual plant parts may be used for longer term immune support. Echinacea is also cleansing to the blood and lymphatic system and will help to reduce enlarged lymph nodes. Traditionally it was also used internally for boils, eczema and psoriasis, and topically for insect bites and abscesses. This plant is native to Eastern and Central North America.
